The Brief

We were asked by our IT client, Pure Storage to find a venue and arrange a Christmas conference and networking drinks reception for their partners. Their numbers had grown significantly from the previous year’s event so we needed a larger venue in central London to accommodate around 200 partners.

After the plenary, they wanted to incorporate traditional Christmas market stalls and theming with branded Christmas gifts to give away from sponsors to their partners to form part of the networking drinks reception.

Results

The event was held at the Rosewood Hotel, one of London’s most luxurious and modern hotels located in Holborn, with easy access by public transport.

Just over 200 partners arrived to listen to the Christmas update from Pure Storage and their event sponsors.

We arranged QR scanning bar code badges as a quick and efficient way to register the guests and monitor their attendance at the stalls throughout the event. This also provided post event feedback and contact details from the initial registration.

We arranged a stage with branded lectern and AV support throughout the plenary. When this had finished, the partners were treated to a surprise winter wonderland networking drinks reception. We themed the space with Christmas trees, lit garlands and arranged several traditional Christmas market stalls which were sponsored by some of Pure Storage’s partners. Their sponsorship allowed them a presentation slot at the plenary, have marketing material visible on the day and through associated marketing for the event and man one of the Christmas stalls with a selection of branded gifts to give away. The gifts we arranged included branded mince pies, boxes of baubles, candle chime tea light holders, chocolates, mini Prosecco bottles, fudge, bags plus branded catering items including napkins and coasters.

The attendance was fantastic and the guests really enjoyed browsing the stalls whilst networking over a few festive drinks and nibbles and taking goodies home to their families as a souvenir.
