Le Deck Monte Carlo Pool Evening 254 - Le Deck Monte Carlo Pool Evening

The Brief

As part of a 4-day travel incentive programme in Monte Carlo, our client wanted a fun outdoor casual evening with dinner and drinks in complete contrast to formal sit-down meals and gala dinner on the other evenings.

They wanted a venue that would showcase Monaco, accommodate 400 guests yet be fairly close to the Hotel Hermitage in which we were staying, serve wonderful food and have space for entertainment. As the weather in Monte Carlo can be unpredictable, a wet weather contingency was essential.

After looking at several potential venues, the client chose the outdoor terrace at “Le-Deck” Restaurant situated on Monte Carlo Beach, which was been hosting superb events since the 1930’s. This wonderful area has a large outdoor swimming pool and is surrounded by palm trees and mountains. The indoor restaurant could accommodate the guests in the case of bad weather.

Fortunately, the weather was perfect, however as the venue was open in the day we had a tight turnaround for the evening but everything ran smoothly according to our very strict plan and the area was transformed quickly.

We hired cool white leather furniture for casual seating around the pool area. As it would be getting dark when the guests arrived, we wound pretty twinkly fairy lights around the palm trees and placed coloured LED orbs floating in the pool.

There were several branded cocktail bars, with flair barmen showing off their cocktail making with branded coasters on the bars and tables. The food was beautifully presented on market stalls with chefs cooking in front of the guest’s eyes for extra atmosphere.

For entertainment, there were several fun casino tables with prizes at the end of the night, a magician, DJ and saxophonist who played from the top of the diving board!

We had such good feedback, the guests had a fun relaxed evening with one guest even commenting “it was the best night of his life!!”
